1010B CADILLAC Ignition KEY BLANK 1920 1921 1922 1923 1924 Type 59 61 Sargent

Description: 1010B KEY BLANK Manufactured by Independent Lock Cofits Cadillac Ignition, Approx. 1920-1925. Type 59, Type 61Key Code Series: "A" (stamped on ignition bezel), Possibly "J" 1-100 as well.There is very little info on Cadillac keys from the 1920's, so do your own research when in doubt! The pictured early 1920's Cadillac ignition (NOT included!) was found with a 1010B key in its key slot, so if your Caddy's Delco ignition looks similar, I am pretty sure its a match! These early Independent blanks are period correct and would be a good choice as they are very ornate looking. You can see the ignition/key in the dash of the 1923 Type 61 in picture #5. (car and ignition not included, obviously!) This blank was originally produced by Sargent locks, who now only make residential locks, but flirted with the automobile industry early on, making ignitions for Cadillac and others. It was also used by other vehicle manufacturers as a transmission lock during the 1920's. Model 314 used the different 1010X blank from 1926-27.
