Description: Quarter-plate daguerreotype, 4.75" x 3.75" in half case. Pretty woman with tinted flowers in her bonnet and her little girl sitting in her lap... both are looking at somebody or something off camera. Husband is looking directly at camera and holding a shiny top hat in his lap... not sure what the child is holding.. an open newspaper?Tarnish ring; no damage noted. The thin curved line touching the child might look like a scratch in my scan, but I don't believe it is. When I received this dag it still had its original unbroken seals in place and the line was already there... I opened the seals to clean the dirty glass. It also does not appear to be a scratch under magnification. Dag is now unsealed with all of the original seals inside the case.
