Provenance reads: This Dutch Testament belonged to Trintie Rycker also written Catherine Ryker. She married first John Lawrence and second John Rider. Her son Hercules Ryder married Margaret Smith. Their daughter Sarah Ryder married William Ryley and they were the parents of my father John Ryley. The Testament now belongs to Mabel Ryley Polhemus 1914. According to Ancestry.com John Ryley married Sophia Frances Haring. Their daughter, Mabel Ryley Polhemus was born approx. 1877 in New York and died in 1935 in Nyack, Rockland County, New York. Female ownership of bibles was rare at this time. The name Catherine with initial R is written in pencil inside the front cover.
