This knife has the blade forged from the fine carbon steel designed to take a finer edge and hold it longer providing sharp cutting satisfaction. The handle is secured with two pins and a two-piece steel bolster held in place with a single rivet to achieve the sure fitting for durability, strength, & balance. This item has the design invented by Joseph N. Gardner with the patent number 27,357 issued on March 6th, 1860. Faded trademark logo ( photo 3 ).
