Map Chest from a Multi Generational Family of Boston Surveyors.Up for Sale is a Civil Engineer/Surveyor's Trace Negative dated 1899. The Trace features Brattle Square in Cambridge, MA. Point were Brattle St and Mt Auburn meet, close to Harvard Square.Nice Piece to matte and frame.Trace Negative - Back in the olden days, master drawings were traced onto large sheets of transparent film. These master prints were then laid over paper prepared with Potassium Ferricyanide and Ferric Ammonium Citrate to create an insoluble Prussian Blue background for the prints.Dimensions are shown in the last couple pictures Please Look at All Pictures and Read Entire Condition Section.
