Description: For sale, a TOUGHER REGION TO FIND TOKENS FROM...COUNTERSTAMPED "A" LARGE 1 1/2 VARIETY, TOLD POSSIBLY USED BY EMPLOYEE AT A PLANTATION (POSSIBLY COFFEE PLANTATION) old "good for" style trade token which actually says on one side "(large 3 surrounded by beaded border)" at business called " L. R. BREWER - GUATIMOC " , which was in the region of GUATIMOC / or TAPACHULA, MEXICOTHIS IS A DECENT LOOKING TOKEN WHICH WAS COUNTERSTAMPED.......THE OLD CATALOG I HAVE SHOWS LISTED UNDER "TAPACHULA"....BUT IT SAYS " GUATIMOC" ON IT...SOMEWHERE USED IN THAT REGIONLOVE THE THE OLD 1 1/2 ON REVERSE, POSSIBLY A PICKER TOKEN FOR 1/2 BUSHELS, ETC....ORIGINAL OWNER THOUGHT USED AT A COFFEE PLANTATION, BOOK DOES NOT SAY The site of Guatimoc appears to be right on the Guatemala Mexico border...Original owner thought this is A TOUGHER MERCHANT VARIETY to find....this token came out of a small collection of MEXICO REGION TRADE tokens....never in the ground..watch for future listingsTrade token is aluminum metal, octagonal shape, about 31mm in diameter, & displays very nicely.
