Comes with 1925 newspaper clipping describing inspirational talk Hanks gave at a Methodist Episcopal church in Connecticut. Hanks was injured in a mine explosion, losing his hand and sight as a result. The article states that he had come back east to meet the Hanks family of Mansfield CT, to whom he was related. The family was related to Nancy Hanks, Abraham Lincoln's mother. Condition: Excellent, good solid binding, no writing within. Pages are somewhat discolored, commensurate with age. Inside front paper has the impression of the newspaper clipping that comes with purchase (see photo 5). Photo 6 is of the endpapers. Please see all photos before making your purchase.
