Description: Nice A C Gilbert Erector Set #2 1/2 from 1936 - 1942 in the cardboard box. This Erector set has the original layout as per A.C. Gilbert Layout Diagrams by Bruce G. Hansen. Organized! The set has been inventoried, as seen on the enclosed Greenburg’s Guide to Gilbert Erector Set sheets In the rolled up brown paper are other parts from the inventory list. The hand of string is repro. The blue base plate has the storage box attached underneath with parts. A few extra square nuts and screws, and all have been accounted for. The parts are in very good vintage condition. The manual coming with the set is actually from a 3 1/2 set and is only partial (about 20 pages) but does does possible models built from this 2 1/2 set. The cardboard box itself, as you can see in the photographs, is showing signs of its age. Hope the photos are helpful and please consider them part of the description.
