The mic casing is all metal and built to the same size as the original, with the lower mic base painted Gloss Black and clear-coated, and the top grills heavy-grade aluminum with pop-filter white cloth installed. The threaded side thumb nuts are machined aluminum as well. Inside, a high quality ribbon drive (Figure 8 polar pattern, a 1.8-micron, 2" long aluminum ribbon with powerful neodymium magnets and 1:36 transformer.) This mic delivers a very smooth audio profile with bi-directional "figure 8" pickup pattern. (You can hear a voice sample on the listing video.) The support yoke is 3D printed, and the RCA badge is CNC-cut aluminum. Mic stand threads are standard 5/8 x 27, (not recommended to be used upside-down with a boom rig.) The heavy-weighted desk stand is included with chromed riser-tube, with the mic hardwired to an 8' cable with male XLR plug.
