Description: 1950 Men's Elgin Deluxe 555 Manual Wind Watch This is a nice looking men's Elgin Deluxe manual wind watch, made in the U.S.A. in 1950 (the serial number H998820 stamped into the movement indicates the year of manufacture). The 17 jewel grade 555 movement has been cleaned and oiled, and the watch is running well and keeping accurate time. The black dial is in good condition, with only some fine bubbling and some patina throughout. The 10k gold filled stepped cushion case has been cleaned and polished, and shows some light surface scratches and a few areas of minor gold loss on the lug tips. A brand new acrylic crystal has been installed. A brand new Kreisler brown lizard calf strap has been installed. Overall, the watch is in very good condition and ready to wear! Please keep in mind that it takes a lot of my time, money, and knowledge to get these watches in reliable, running order and to make them look the best they can.
