Description: This listing is for a 1950s SANTA ON SLEIGH battery toy made by Modern Toys, Japan. A rare and desirable Santa toy, it is rather large, measuring 17 inches long and made of tin with a plastic reindeer. Features stunning litho graphics, particularly on the toy sack. There should be a yellow rail in the rear, but other than that it is in excellent condition overall--bright and clean. Still works with great action-- the reindeer moves up and down, the sleigh moves along with bump and go action, sleigh bells ring, and the lantern blinks. Hard to find this toy in working condition because of the complex bell ringing mechanism. A nostalgic Christmas decoration/toy from a bygone era!
