Description: BETTY HUTTON DESCRIPTION: This is a RARE BETTY HUTTON and her GIRLS paper doll book. It was published by Whitman in 1951. The book is Complete and it is NOT a REPRODUCTION. Betty Hutton was born in 1921. She was an actress in films, stage, and television. She also was a comedian, dancer, and singer. Most of her films were in the 1940s and 50s. One of her more famous roles was as Annie Oakley in “Annie Get Your Gun.” There are 3 paper dolls, Betty and her 2 daughters, Lindsay and Candice. There are 8 pages of beautiful clothes that include ice skating, cowgirl, equestrian, and party outfits. The pages also include other items, including flowers, toys, and more. There are also actually photos of Betty and her girls. The oversize book is 11 3/4 x 14 inches. The book is SPECIAL because the front cover page has a scalloped edge in the middle. The paper dolls are found on the second page. The back cover has a large photo of Betty. She wrote “With best wishes from Betty Hutton and her girls.” This “autograph” is found on all of the 1951 Betty Hutton paper doll books. **VERY NICE MOVIE STAR COLLECTIBLE! CONDITION: The paper dolls and clothes pages are in MINT condition. Some small paper doll areas have started to unpunch in a few spots (as shown in one of the photos). The front and back covers have some minor shelf wear, mostly on the edges. Still, the book is in really good condition and it is 73 years old!
