Fires - Washington. Tacoma, Washington. Flames started by a back-firing jitney sweep through center section of large warehouse on Tacoma waterfront late today. Fire Chief Charles Eisenbacher said a preliminary survey indicated damages to building and contents was $100,000. The section that burned contained Air Force engines and Army equipment. The blaze raged out of control for about an hour, beginning at 6pm (PST). A fireboat and ten companies fought the flames. Photo measures 9.75 x 7inches. Photo is dated 3-19-1951.
