Description: SIX COURSE BOOKS DATED 1951 TO 1953. THESE HAVE NOT SPENT THE LAST 60 YEARS IN A PLACE OF HONOR AND THE EXTERIORS ARE DIRTY. I WIPED THEM DOWN BUT THEY REMAIN DIRTY. These books have surface soiling, edge soiling and very minor edge wear to the covers. Interiors have paper toning but are otherwise well maintained. None of the tests were taken. The only writing noted is on the front covers. There is some minor occasional internal soiling. This would appear to be a mail order school for learning about radio and television and repairs and such. I have included the partial contents pages of a few. 1- THE SUPERHETERODYNE ARRIVES- 1951- 60 pages plus a test to send in for results (photo 2 & 3)2- A NEW RADIO SYSTEM- F.M. - 1952- 66 pages plus test (photo 4 & 5)3- DETAILS OF FM CIRCUITS- 1952- 74 pages plus test (photo 6 & 7)4- SERVICING SOUND SYSTEMS IN TELEVISION RECEIVERS & SERVICING THE VIDEO STRIP- 1953- 18 pages plus test followed by 24 pages plus test. This has some interior soiling and one badly creased page (photo 12)5- PUTTING ELECTRICITY TO WORK- 1951- 40 pages plus test6- MAN'S SERVANT- THE ELECTRON- 1951- 51 pages plus test. Some corner creasing on covers Interesting bit of history for early radio and television. ebag MEDIA MAIL: The USPS allows books, records and other media to be mailed at a cheaper price than typical mail. It tends to be a much slower mailing process than standard mail. In addition, any employee of the USPS can open the package at ANY time for ANY reason to verify that what is inside is what should be inside. In most cases, the item is properly repackaged but, in rare cases, it is not and an item can arrive damaged. As my feedback suggests, I package very carefully. If you receive a damaged item that has the appearance of having been poorly packaged, please contact me prior to leaving feedback so that it can be addressed. Listing and template services provided by inkFrog PLEASE NOTE: For book sales, I virtually always include a vinyl bag tightly wrapped on the exterior. This is an attempt to prevent any USPS employee from opening the package for inspection as it would be time consuming for them to repackage it. This is done simply because my packaging is done more carefully than their repackaging and also to protect the book from the elements. The vinyl bag covers cardboard protection and you can simply cut the bag open (carefully) and remove the contents. The cardboard protection is also typically held with tape and cutting in the obvious places will allow the cardboard to pop right open, exposing the book (in another protective vinyl bag). Using this method, you should be able to open any book I send in under a minute. No "buzz saw" is required. Thank you
