Description: My Dad bought this in 57' when he came from the Korean War. In 1998 (1 year after his death ) I found this guitar, that I learned to play on hanging from a nail under a roof leak. It was hanging in several pieces. I took the pieces to Richard Janek on north Lamar in Austin and he showed me how to put back together. It was originally a Tobacco Burst Guitar but the paint was coming off. I talked to Richard about it and we found out that was splayed Walnut through and through. But the neck was almost perfect. I took 14 months to reassemble the guitar and each step, I took it to richard for approval. I took all the hardware off and had it gold plated in Austin at Cet-Tex plating. I've had this guitar ever since and now I'm willing to sell it. Richard should I should not take less than 25k for it after I finished it. That was a long time ago. I'll sell it now for 30,000 or best offer. If the offer is not good enough I'll keep it and give it away to one of my friends like Luke Nelson. That's it.
