Signed later printings by Shel Silverstein are much more common than a true first edition and first printing. Beware of all the first edition listings that are not in fact first editions. We have yet to see a true first edition book listed on ebay or any where else online. Copies of The Giving Tree for sale are incorrectly identified as first editions. The true first printing is extremely difficult to find, and does not surface much for sale, if at all.
