1970 Guild Thunderstar Bass 40 Watt Bass/Guitar Head Serviced 6L6GC

Description: Here's a relatively rare blast from the past. Marketed as a bass amp but just like the Fender Bassman it certainly can be used for guitar as well. Just serviced with new tubes JJ 6L6GC and 12AX7s/12DW7s in the preamp. A couple electrolytic capacitors in the bias circuit were replaced. A grounded AC power cable was added for safety and the polarity switching capacitor was replaced. Everything else was tested and checked for drift. Most of the circuit is original. Show signs of use but not abuse. This was a gigging amplifier for years. Good shape overall. Quite light and easy to transport compared to most bass heads.
