Diamonds and pearls make up this gold and silver tiara, all of which had come from her family. She modeled this crown after her grandmother Princess Augusta of Hesse's tiara, which is the original Cambridge Lover’s Knot Tiara. Eventually, the commissioned piece was passed down to Queen Elizabeth II, who gifted it to her daughter-in-law Princess Diana. After the divorce from Prince Charles, the tiara returned to Queen Elizabeth II.
