Can be used outdoors as well as indoors as long as it is away from other metal objects that will degrade performance. Antenna rolls up easily to fit into a cargo or backpack pocket. SWR is typically less than 1.5:1 across the 2m band and less than 1.7:1 across the 70cm band. These will be affected by the local environment in which the antenna is deployed.
