Description: Herman Miller / Eames 1960s fiberglass & Naugahyde armchairs with H-bases. Auction is for all four chairs. Pick up only from 33155. The overall color is grayish-brown. Three are the same color and one is slightly different. I think that three of the chairs are Raw Umber and the fourth is Grey Yellow for Herman Miller fiberglass colors. Naugahyde upholstery on all is black. The trim around the edge of one chair is gray instead of black like the others. HM stamp and Cincinnati macron on all. One with its original paper label. I believe dating these to 1962-1965. Also an old CUNY graduate school label and dried gum on underside of one. Condition: Missing 4 plastic feet total in three chairs (only one chair has all its feet). Minimal scuffs/wear to the padding, a few small separations at seams (no longer than 3/4” (see photos), and discoloration to finish on aluminum legs. Some deeper long scratches on the fiberglass backs. No breaks or cracks to the fiberglass. Also no fading. The rubber mounts appear solid. Padding on one chair is not bonded (I think) and buckling at seat. The padding is not designed to be removable for these chairs. Posted as found. I think everything is original.
