ANTIQUE 18” ARMAND MARSEILLE 370/0 DOLL BISQUE SHOULDER HEAD SLEEP EYES KID BODY

Description: Hi, This auction is for a sweet 18” Armand Marseille#370 doll with bisque head / shoulder plate on a kid body. Circa 1910, made in Germany marked on her back. The doll has an open mouth with teeth, glass sleep eyes that open and close properly, newer synthetic wig. Hands are in good condition,no chips nor repairs. Kid body is in very good condition: sturdy, not leaking sawdust. Replaced pate for her wig. Sweet little girl dressed as a school girl. One piece undies, white blouse, newer red doll sized print dress with short sleeves and ruffles at the shoulders. Her clothes need a gentle wash from years of display or storage. Sleep eyes work, but the eye lids are worn. I could not remove the one piece undies because they are sewn on to the doll, but body seems sturdy, clean, jointed, and is not leaking sawdust. Head looks good but does have glue residue that needs to be removed. I did not remove the shoes and socks for inspection. The socks have stuck to the kid body. I started to remove them but the socks were loosing their stretch, so I left them. This doll comes with a third place ribbon from one of the many doll shows the Cleveland Doll Club had through the years. I bought a number of dolls of an estate here near Cleveland which I will be listing in the next few weeks. The photos should show you the rest of the details.
