The blue enamel is edged with black to really make it stand out. This piece measures 2" long, 1 1/4" across at it's widest point and is 1/4" deep. The top easily unscrews and the dauber is in perfect condition. It is marked Sterling with the Webster makers mark on the back. There is light wear to the silver as expected and appropriate, the enamel is in near perfect condition with no loss or chips. The Webster Company was originally founded by George K. Webster in 1869 in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. Their line of sterling items included over 20 patterns of dresser sets, picture frames, cigarette holders, bowls, baby items, candlesticks, napkin rings and more. They were primarily manufacturers of sterling items. In 1958, they purchased the Frank W. Smith Silver Co. and today the Webster Co. is part of Reed & Barton Silversmiths.
