Description: This offering is for an antique mid 19th century Hudson River Valley School or Style Painting. The painting is oil on canvas in a large oval. The overall size including the ornate wooden frame is 29" by 34". The canvas size is 22" by 27.5" The work is as found and is in need of some restoration. There is flaking and missing paint most noticeable on the lower center and right hand third of the painting. The view is of what I assume is a family group on an excursion to the river. A man sits astride a beautiful horse to the left and with what appears to be a log home behind him. There is an adult woman and four children, there are certainly girls, the fourth may be a boy. Please note there is also a crack in the frame at the lower left. The buyer will pay a fixed amount of $ 100.00 for Standard Mail and we will include delivery confirmation, tracking, at no additional cost.
