Description: Antique 26” Shirley Temple style doll- She is unmarked. Composition head/ shoulder plates, arms and legs; soft body; dimpled cheeks; open mouth with 4 visible teeth; sleep eyes; eyelashes on eyelids, painted eyelashes below eyes; curly wig with several pins, barrettes etc. plus a red ribbon/bow; Clothes appear original- dress is red with tiny polka dots, ruffled collar and front placket, ruffled short sleeves; muslin one-piece undergarment that is a combination slip and bloomers; dress and undergarment secured with pins at the back; no shoes or socks. Feels like a round, unworking sound box in the body. Condition:Hair matted from longtime storage; composition pretty good- small chip on nose, crack in one shoulder plate, light crazing and marks elsewhere; eyes look damaged from age; dress, undergarment and torso cloth has some marks, holes, wear and could use a good soaking to brighten it up.
