Description: Here is Mabel, She was made by Armand Marseille in the early 1900's. She is 20" long and has a leather body with original red sticker on front---which is worn and is unreadable. Her lower arms are replacements, and appear to be painted ceramic. I am guessing that her lower legs were probably cloth and worn and leaking sawdust, and years ago, someone made cotton covers ---or maybe they are stitched on stockings so they wouldn't fall off---I don't know what is under them. I see no chips, cracks, or hairlines to her head and her breastplate feels complete. Her eyes are replacement, and are acrylic, and just stuck on with wax---easy to remove and properly reset or be changed. Has rivet joints at hip, so she sits nicely.
