Description: Very nice Number 8 L C Smith typewriter from 1926. This model was the initial release of a change in brand name dropping the "Bros". At least that is where the Serial Number falls. It appears the major difference was the closing off of the front and the decimal Tabulator keys. It tested out well with some issues from the raggety ribbon. It may need a service in the future based on that I have no history on this estate find. There is some finish loss here and there but looks and feels very solid.
