Please follow us on Instagram @textiletrunk ~*~ This is a beautiful European homespun linen mattress cover - this wonderful antique textile is such a heavy weight, nubby linen - it weighs over 5 pounds! It is a herringbone weave, and the texture is floppy and wonderful! This textile is like a large pillow case - it consists of two sides that were handstitched together, leaving an opening at one end. The handstitched hems are beautiful! The tone of the fabric is a wonderful, warm white tone! This beautiful textile would make a gorgeous comforter or duvet cover or would be wonderful used as a mattress cover for an antique daybed! I like to stuff them with a feather comforter and then keep them at the bottom of the bed for pulling up on chilly nights. I also use them in my living room as lounging pads for reading, etc. This could also be deconstructed to use the fabric for SO many projects - upholstery, curtains, pillows, shower curtains, dog beds... there are so many possibilities! Wonderful for any rustic farmhouse or cottage interior! MEASUREMENTS: This lovely mattress cover measures approximately 78 inches long by 41 inches wide - but of course, if you were deconstructing it to repurpose the fabric, you would get twice that amount of wonderful fabric! CONDITION: This lovely cover is freshly laundered and is ready to use!
