Description: Thanks for visiting my listing. Up for auction, one unique 20” long Antique Holy Rosary. Beads are all heavy bright Olive Green faceted glass, they are handmade, the facets are nice and even, yet each bead is a little different size and or shapewise, just a lovely example of handmade early beads on this piece. Beautifully strung onto old golden brass chain fittings, with a handsome patina throughout. A very hefty well made piece. Parts are all original and amazingly present with no repairs or issues. The cross is also an early cast brass with ebony inlay. The jump ring connecting the crucifix is welded shut, and has been for decades. Golden brass Centerpiece has a unique shape and gorgeous detail, featuring on the front an early image of Mary and the Immaculate Conception, with rays of light coming from Mary’s hands. Back has interlocking M with Cross and is stamped FRANCE. A gorgeous old piece treasured for many decades, it looks like it’s circa 1920’s-1930’s based on the material and the style.
