Description: This antique Pitcairns England brown transferware platter in the Aquilla pattern is a beautiful addition to any collection. The weathered and perfectly crazed item adds to its charm. Maker’s mark: printed on bottom Pitcairns England. Circa 1894-1901. Noted Imperfections: perfectly weathered with fine crazing and tea colored discoloration. There is a worn chip in the front end of the platter and a larger chi on the underside edge of the platter- see pictures. There are some glaze deterioration spots on the front and back. A few small flea bites and parts of edge are rough to the touch. Looks like a crack on back of item but has not gone through to front and may be more crazing. That part is stable.
