This is a listing for a very special and unique French style antique pocket watch holder casket box or jewel box made probably in the 1880-1910 time period. The box features deeply embossed classical images in high relief which is not seen in most similar boxes of the period. The box can hold and display a pocket watch up to the typical 16 size watch. I have shown 2 watch sizes for reference: one is approx. 12 size and one is approx. 16 size. I have included a cut piece of new green felt and a liner piece with a depressed area to better secure the watch. I will also include extra green felt for the buyer to recraft the inside of the box as they see fit or just leave it as it is. The box is approx. 3" high and approx. 3" wide. I just do not know anymore about the box, so, let the photos guide you. I am now over 70 and have been selling my lifetime collection of collectibles on eBay-see my other listings.
