Description: Very old and early primitive wooden armchair small enough for a very young child. This piece shows all the signs of extreme age and many years of use. The finish appears to be original with lots of wear and loss in the seat area of the chair. Great age patina elsewhere on the piece. Lathe turned spindles and square nails were used for this one when it was made. There is one lower support rung missing but it is still a pretty solid piece of furniture. (see photos for more details). The chair measures 21" tall. The top of the back is 12 1/4" wide. The seat is 11 1/2" x 10 1/2". Nice old piece of Americana.
