Antique Victorian Acid Etched Aesthetic Floral Cylinder Oil Gas Hall Lamp Shade

Description: For sale we have a beautiful antique Victorian Era deep acid etched Aesthetic Movement Floral Design Art Glass Cylinder Oil or Gas glass shade. This shade was made for a Hanging Hall or Foyer lamp. This shade has a 6 3/4" fitter on the top and bottom and it's approx. 9" long. This shade has a nice rich clear frosted acid etched body with a grayish tint seen. We see Roses, Daises and Poppy style flowers inside a castle or building like structure. There also is a fancy Art Nouveau design accenting the top and bottom of this unique acid etched patterned shade. The shade is very busy and full of acid etched designs throughout the entire surface. This beautiful early etched glass shade has a extremely nice look when viewed in the sunlight. We date this beauty to the late 1870's or early 1880's. This is a possible Boston and Sandwich produced shade as we seen similar example attributive to them. The condition of the shade is nice with no large chips, cracks, scratches or scuffs and no stains or alterations. We only see, but mostly feel some in the making grinding roughness on the top and bottom fitter opening. We pictured these areas and mention them for complete accuracy. This is a fresh to the market example in original untouched condition. This shade is original and posses a great look and feel and would look great on an early gas or oil hanging hall lamp.
