Antique Victorian Era Silk Bridal Purse, in Original Box with Handkerchief

Description: Wedding purses were a tradition for brides in the Victorian Era. They were made of light fabrics and handkerchiefs were tucked into them to wipe away tears of joy...or sadness! This sweet purse is made of silk satin, that is sadly shattering, silk mesh, a silk ribbon that is disintegrating and a silk tassel. It needs to be handled with care and would look fabulous in a bridal display. It comes in it's original paper trim box (just the bottom, sadly) and a white handkerchief was found in the purse. The handkerchief is in need of some TLC to re-attach some of the lace trim. I have loved this set for so long as it is truly a rare find! Please see all photos for condition and flaws.
