Description: This gorgeous Victorian gold-filled photo locket is double sided and double hinged. On one side is the photo of a man and on the other side is a photo of a woman. The photos are original and may be tin types or daguerreotypes. It has a beautifully engraved design on both sides. This locket is larger than most. It measures 2 5/8" long, including the ring at the top, by 1 5/8" wide. This locket is in very good condition for its age, which I believe dates to the Victorian age or earlier nineteenth century. The locket opens and closes easily but does not snap in place tightly. This is probably due to the convex shape of the locket and handling over time. It has no monogram or any other issues that I see. A very nice piece to add to your antique jewelry collection.
