The top fluted area is just under 3 inches wide where it would attach to your harp and finial post, so make sure you use a harp (shade holder) that is thin at the top. Swirled off white / ivory colored capiz shell in a scalloped shaped frame with fish scale shapes and a pretty fluted top. Some tiny marks in the shell here and there, which is normal and adds to the personality of the shade. It seems to be handmade, which is special. :) The brass framing that holds the panels has an antique gold painted finish.
