Australia was not a Federated Nation until 1901 and did not send an Official team - so all his accomplishments was as an Independant athlete. He lived from 5th November 1873 until 10th January 1935. He won the 800 metres , 1500 Metres Running , came Third in the doubles Tennis and competed in the Marathon . He ran this the day after winning the 800 metres - he led the Marathon until 3 Kilometres from the finish when he collapsed. Not too bad for an Accountant.?? FDI - 26th September 2023 .
