Description: BF McDonald Hard hat, NEW Suspension/lining This is a USED VINTAGE aluminum logging hard hat. I have replaced the deteriorated interior suspension with NEW aftermarket system as shown. Reused five of the six clips, and replaced one clip with a new clip. I have it sized out to the max on the headband - fits my head which is about 22" around. Will need adjustment to fit your head! Riley Logging Supply was known as "Riley and Williams" from its start in 1947 through 1950. It was then renamed "Riley Logging Supply " and existed by that name until 1958 when it became "Norel Sales & Supply". The sticker on the hat is generally believed to have been from mid to late 1950's. While you can use this for what ever your needs are - Please note that this hat has been damaged, and is not of modern manufacture, and is not believed to meet current safety standards and therefore may not be allowed on many work sites. The suspension is a very well built example of the style of the original, probably better in many respects, but it also is not "certified". It is suggested that this hard hat can be worn for such non-industrial uses as attending logging shows, attending Portland Timbers games, use in parades, use in displays, etc. Shipping is $10 in USA for USPS Ground Advantage.
