Product Information: The ACS260A-U-MM ServSwitch KVM (DVI/USB/Audio/Serial/EDID) over Fiber Dual-Access Extender Kit by Black Box, comprised of a local transmitter unit and a remote receiver unit, uses 50/125µm or 62.5/125µm multimode fiber cable with duplex SC connectors to extend DVI USB 1080p up to 3,200' and 1080i as far as 6,400' from your PC or KVM switch. The extender's video resolution goes up to 1920 x 1080 when used with a 1080p display. The local unit transmits single-link DVI-D pure digital with zero compression technology. A dual-access model, the ACS260A-U-MM enables you to operate your PC from either a local or a remote USB keyboard, DVI-D monitor, and USB mouse. It also supports EDID, bidirectional stereo audio (for connecting speakers and microphones to the workstations), and serial port control (for connecting serial DCE/DTE devices). To switch between and control multiple computer CPUs, connect either extender unit to a KVM switch. The ACS260A-U-MM extender supports hotkey control. Using a sequence of keystroke commands, you can select a computer and activate computer scan. When the extender is connected to a KVM switch, you can also gain access to the built-in hotkey commands of the attached switch. A "mask hotkey" switch on the extender units masks the master-level KVM extender, so you can configure the slave-level KVM switch as if you were sitting directly in front of the switch itself. This can be a time-saver and reduce the chance of any erroneous hotkey commands. The ACS260A-U-MM is HDCP compliant; if can be used to extend video from a high-definition HD-DVD or Blu-Ray player. This KVM extender includes a push button for switching control, a front-panel LED for status indication, and hotkey control for easy computer access. It is fully compatible with most popular monitor screen resolutions such as XGA, SXGA, UXGA, WSXGA all the way to full HD, WUXGA system. High EMI/RFI resistance makes this extender suitable for connecting control room monitors, keyboards, and mice to factory floor CPUs or anywhere electronic noise may interfere with communications.
