Description: Here's a US MONO PRESSING of BOB DYLAN'S BLONDE ON BLONDE LP, released in 1966. CATALOG #C2L41 This LP is on the COLUMBIA 2 EYE MONO RECORD LABEL. THIS IS THE 1966 PITMAN PRESSING AND HAS THE NINE PHOTOS INSIDE THE GATEFOLD INCLUDING CLAUDIA CARDINALE. CLAUDIA WASN'T AWARE SHE WAS TO BE INCLUDED ON THIS RECORD COVER, AND OBJECTED. THE COVER WAS QYICKY CHANGED TO REMOVE HER FROM ALL SUBSEQUENT PRESSINGS. MONO VERSIONS OF THIS RECORD ARE RARE AND HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER. BLONDE ON BLONDE CAN BE ARGUED IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT ALBUMS IN ROCK HISTORY. FOR STARTERS, IT WAS THE FIRST DOUBLE ALBUM IN ROCK HISTORY. AFTER GOING ELECTRIC AT NEWPORT FOLK, DYLAN SPENT THE NEXT YEAR WORKING ON THIS. IT WAS RELEASED IN JUNE 1966 COMPLETING THE INCREDIBLE TRILOGY OF BRINGING IT ALL BACK HOME, HIGHWAY 61 REVISITED, AND BLONDE.. THIS IS A VERY NICE COPY, BUT IT DOES HAVE A COUPLE ISSUES. THE COVER HAS SOME WEAR. THE FRONT LOOKS VERY NICE WITH SLIGHT RING WEAR ON TOP, A SOFT BEND BOTTOM RIGHT, 2 SOFT CORNERS AT THE SPINE, AND A SMALL CORNER DING BOTTOM RIGHT. BACK HAS SLIGHT RING WEAR ON TOP, A CORNER DING BOTTOM LEFT, AND A SOFT CORNER BOTTOM RIGHT. THE SPINE IS SHREADED FOR 4" FROM THE TOP, AND THE BOTTOM 4" IS SO SOFT THAT THE IMAGE WORE AWAY. BOTTOM SEAM HAS SHELF WEAR, TOP SEAM IS IN GREAT SHAPE. INSIDE GATEFOLD IS OVERALL IN VERY NICE SHAPE, BUT THAT TOP SEAM ISSUE EFFECTED THE INSIDE GATEFOLD TO THE POINT THAT YOU CAN SEE DAYLIGHT THROUGH 3" TOWARDS THE TOP INSIDE GATEFOLD SEAM. IF YOU'RE LIKE ME, AND KEEP COVERS IN PLASTIC OUTERS, YOU MAY ACTUALLY NEVER NOTICE THE WORST OF THIS COVER. THE FRONT AND BACK COVERS LOOK VERY HANDSOME CONSIDERING THE NUMEROUS OVERALL ISSUES. THE COVER IS VG VINYL HAS BEEN PLAY GRADED, AND PLAYS GREAT WITH LITTLE TO NO SURFACE SOUNDS DURING THE MUSIC. BETWEEN SOME TRACKS THERE ARE SOME BACKGROUND SOUNDS. DURING JUST LIKE A WOMAN THERE ARE SOME SURFACE SOUNDS. VISUALLY THERE ARE SOME HAIRLINES, AND A FEW MARKS. FOR THE MOST PART THEY ARE SUPERFICIAL, BUT THEY ARE HEARD BETWEEN SOME TRACKS. OVERALL IT'S A GREAT PLAY, AND A GREAT SOUNDING RECORD. ONE LABEL HAS A COUPLE SPINDLE MARKS, THE OTHERS ARE CLEAN. THE COLOR OF THE LABLES LOOK A TOUCH FADED. I TYPICALLY WOULD NOT POST RECORDS THAT HAVE A VG GRADE IN ANY WAY, BUT THE EXCEPTION IS FOR SERIOUSLY RARE RECORDS. A MONO PRESSING OF THIS RECORD IS ALWAYS A WONDERFUL FIND, AND WE RARELY GET TO FIND THEM PERFECT ANYMORE. VINYL VG+COVER VGCHECK OUT MY OTHER RECORDS ON EBAY.
