Description: This is an extraordinary and extremely rare, Bolex Cine-Auto Projector, handed down from an internationally known photo journalist’s estate. It’s appearance is in excellent condition, and all mechanisms appear to be intact. Please note the following: 1. The overall health of the instrument and its working condition has not been tested, and is being sold “as-is”. 2. The lamp housing door, which is easily removed, reveals a bulb which was once connected with electrical wire on its socket end, to the wiring inside of the projector’s body. Please see the photos depicting the current state of the wiring. Some details: • Two small nuts allow removal of the front cover, which reveals a spring motor drive belt and the dual-bladed shutter and claw shuttle, which all appear to be intact.• Two screwed feet allow for height adjustment.• An inching knob protrudes at the front of the machine, located to the right of the lens.• There is a single film sprocket with guide rollers for both 9.5 and 16mm film.• A lever at the side of the film gate provides framing adjustment. • The Serial number, marked on the rear of the base, is 170.• A folded carrying handle is fitted along the top of the projector. A historical note:From 1930 on, the Paillard-Bolex products were imported and distributed in the UK by Cinex, Ltd., and were originally marketed as Bolex alone. Please see the detailed photographs provided for your review. Thank you for looking.
