Description: Magnificent Impressively Large and decorative Chinese Ginger vase with Lid and stand. Superb decoration in underglaze cobalt blue. Freely painted Cartouches of scholars objects surrounded by Prunus blossom on a dark crackle blue glaze.Bought at auction as a Kangxi period 18th Century vase but with proper research this is Kangxi Revival 20th Century. There are elements especially the unglazed top rim which would suggest an earlier date but I feel the base and slope inwards of the rim is more typical of a later piece rather than earlier piece and so I have revised this listing and price accordingly.I have tried to capture the true colour of the vase which is a deep rich Cobalt blue but The photos do not really show the true colour.The stand is contemporary to the vase but well matched.
