Description: DATING TO THE 1860’S FASHIONED OF A SEPIA SILK AND WOOL BLEND FABRIC WITH SLEEVES SET OFF THE SHOULDER WITH PIPING AT THE ARM HOLES. PIPING AROUND THE NECKLINE AND BELTING WITH HAND CARVED SHELL BUTTONS HAVING A BANNER AND VINE DETAILING. ALL EIGHT BUTTONS ARE PRESENT. SKIRTING FALLS LONG WITH A PIPED BOTTOM EDGE. POCKET HIDDEN ON THE SIDE SEAM AND CARTRIDGE PLEATING ON THE REAR. COMES WITH MATCHING OVER SKIRT THAT IS OPEN IN THE FRONT, CUTTING AWAY DOWN THE SIDES AND FALLING LONGER IN THE REAR. INTERIOR IS LINED IN A WHITE COTTON TWILL WITH A FAN OF BONING IN THE FRONT AND A PENNED NAME ON THE INNER REAR NECKLINE. CONDITION: EXTREMELY HEAVY FRAY RUNNING ACROSS THE SHOULDERS ON EACH SIDE, NOTE THE IMAGES. THE UNDER ARMS HAVE A FAINT STAINING WITH SOME SMALL REPAIRS ON THE PIPED BELTING THAT COULD BE MORE NEATLY DONE. A THUMBPRINT OF A BROWN STAIN IS ON THE OUTER LEFT SLEEVE. THE FABRIC OF THE OVER SKIRT COULD BE USED TO MAKE A SOLID REPAIR TO THE SHOULDER, MAKING IT WEARABLE.
