Description: Copper goose neck tilting tea kettle with turned wood handle. The handle has ornate brass arms which adds to the charm of this kettle. Also has a copper lid with finial style wood knob. The four protruding pegs on two sides of kettle show that it was a tilting kettle which required a stand. Stands were used to keep kettle off of a table to prevent damage. They often included burners to keep tea hot. The stand for this kettle is missing and is NOT included. The tea kettle shows patina. Has been polished in past, but needs recleaning/polishing if desired. One small dent on outside is seen(see pictures). Inside shows use. This kettle was used for the past 50 years in a country style display as part of a copper collection. Age is unknown but is likely to be from 1800's into early 1900's before trays were in common use. Faint ID number of some kind was etched on bottom. Dimensions: 8 3/4" h x 7 1/2" w incl. spout. Base: 4"Weighs: 1 lb, 2oz.
