Description: Here is a really nice Vintage Turner desktop microphone which has been chopped and powder coated in a Metallic Gray. The Grille ring and grille were very rough so the grille ring has been powder coated in Silver Explosion and the grille is powder coated in candy red and a Shure Logo has been used to replace the missing Turner Logo. The fin has been shaved down so that it doesn't cut into your hands when cupping the mic but still gives a little something to keep the mic from slipping around while playing. At the heart of this custom harp mic is a 1973 Shure 99A86 Controlled Reluctance Element which measures 1020 Ohms on my DMM and has a Hot Output, Excellent Breakup, Good Bottom End and Fat Tone. The element has been cleaned and tuned for maximum output and tone and is guaranteed to be an excellent performer. The element is also mounted in the grille using a new Jeffrey Spoor gasket! A 250 K-Ohm volume pot and red aluminum knob are installed at the back of the mic for easy access and a new 1/4" jack has been installed at the bottom of the mic near the back to keep it out of the way for easy cupping. The jack is designed to hold your cable snugly. Even if you step on the cord while playing it will not pull out of the mic so you wont need a special cable or adapter. Just plug in a quality guitar cable and you are good to go. All my mics are guaranteed to be of the highest quality and you will not be disappointed with the output and tone. Thanks for looking!
