Description: Wow! This is a fantastic large primitive handmade wooden mortar and pestle. This was purchased by a lovely 80 year old woman who frequented New England antique stores. This is a old growth wood mortar, (tight concentric rings), suggesting that it was crafted from an early (likely American) tree.
