Description: Presented is a wonderful set of 6 Georgian English sterling silver teaspoons. These spoons are dated 1806 and were made by renowned silversmiths Peter & William Bateman. The spoons are made in a classical Old English type of pattern with curved handles and downward turned terminals, with a pip on the reverse. These spoons have a monogram of W on the front, in elegant script. This set of spoons is in excellent condition, particularly considering age. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monogram removals, and no repairs. Each piece is hallmarked with the lion passant for sterling silver, the date letter L for 1806, the duty stamp of King George III's head, and the maker's mark for Peter & William Bateman. Each spoon is about 5 1/8 inches long. This total weight for the set is 90.7 grams or 3.2 regular ounces. -jm Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
