Description: Up for sale is this wonderful pencil signed and titled etching by well listed New England Artist George Albert Gale (1893-1951). Gale was a mariner and shipbuilder who painted scenes of maritime life. His etchings are collected world wide. This etching is signed by Gale, in pencil, on the lower right corner. It is titled, in pencil on the lower left corner, "Four Footed Stevedores". It features two men dealing with work horses on a nautical dock with ships in the background. The etching is 8 7/8 inches X 5 inches in a 14 1/8 inch X 11 inch frame. The etching itself is in nice shape with just some minor age tanning. The frame has only very minor wear although the paper back is loose. All in all, a great piece by an artist rarely offered on eBay. Please see our other art pieces on eBay!!
