Description: Geraldine stars John Carroll, Mala Powers, Jim Backus, Stan Freberg, Kristine Miller, Leon Belasco, Ludwig Stossel, Earl Lee, Alan Reed, Nana Bryant and Carolyn Jones.The film is in black and white and runs 90 minutes. Jancy Edwards (Mala Powers) works for Cambria Records and is managing the personal appearance tour of songster Billy Weber (Stan Freeberg). While at a college, they hear a performance of a song that Billy wants. Janey meets with the composer, Grant Sanborn (John Carroll) who happens to also be the music instructor at the school. Jancy returns to the record company with a disc of Sanborn's songs that he gave to her to play for her boss, Jason Ambrose (Jim Backus). He is not interested in the kind of songs on the record, but likes Grant's voice and wants to sign him to a contract. The story gets intersting when Grant only wants to sing folk songs and the record company wants him to sing popular songs. This is a very rare and hard to find movie. It came from a 16mm print that was in the hands of a collector for a number of years. To the best of our knowledge no other DVD of this movie is available. The picture and sound quality are excellent. Stan Freeberg was know for his work in radio and television commercials. His voice appears in many cartoons. And I believe that he had some very small parts in a few movies. This may be the first and only movie in which he has a main role. This DVD is packaged in a professional vinyl case (see photo).
