It is an active pickup, so it uses batteries. It was once a passive pickup, so it has been painted with conductive paint to reduce noise. The knobs have been changed. As the word "raw" suggests, it uses a wood finish with a subdued shine. The neck has a satin (matte) finish. The body has many scratches and dents. The frets are partially worn.
