Description: Christmas is around the corner, don't let this opportunity go by..This custom old-time style 5-string open-back banjo is made of high-quality all-new parts, but made to look old. The Gold Tone neck is made of Maple, with extensive "tree of life" real pearl and abalone inlays on the ebony fingerboard and headstock, two-way adjustable truss rod, modern medium frets, and dot side markers. There are high-quality gold Schaller brand geared tuners with pearloid buttons that operate smoothly as silk. There is a bone 5th string nut. All of the pot hardware is solid brass that has been treated to produce a non-tarnishing antique-look finish. The grooved tension hoop, 24 ball shoes, elongated Bacon-style nuts, hooks, and bracket bolts are all from Rickard Banjos of Canada. There is a rolled solid brass tone ring that sits under the head in a groove on top of the rim. The neck is attached with two 1/4" bolts, and one solid brass coordinator rod. The rim is Gold Tone multi-ply approx. 3/4" thick Maple finished with lacquer with antique crazing and brown and vintage amber toner. A band of real herringbone marquetry has been inlayed into the rim above the ball shoes. The tailpiece is a solid brass "No Knot" reproduction. The string action is excellent with a 5/8" bridge and string height about 1/8" at the last fret. There are an 11" Remo Fiberskyn head, a fancy Grover-style Maple and Ebony bridge with inserts and light Deering strings. The banjo ships with an extra shoe/nut/hook/screw set.overall length: 37-1/2", depth: 3", width 12"scale:26-3/4"nut width: 1-1/4"head diameter: 11"
